Monday, September 14
Bell Work: What is a word processor?
- Create a folder on your HDrive and name it Computer Applications.
- Inside that folder, create another folder and name it MS Word.
- To the best of your ability, create block style business letter, and save it as “Last initial.First name .Pre-block.”
- If time permits, review keyboarding skills
How to create a folder:
- Double click the computer icon on your desktop
- Double click your student ID
- Click on the word “folder” at the top left of your screen
- Name the folder Computer Applications
How to drag files from the Student Share Drive:
- Double click the computer icon on your desktop
- Double click your student ID; you should now see your class folder
- Minimize and move the screen slightly to the left
- Double click the computer icon again
- Double click stushare
- Click on FHS; Fadlallah, Amira;
- Open the pickup folder
- Minimize the screen like you did above
- Click on the bell work handout, keep your finger on the mouse and drag it to your folder.

Bell Work: Customize your Quick Access Tool Bar to include spelling/grammar check and print preview. Then, in your BW document, explain how you customized it.
Content Objectives: Students will demonstrate knowledge of: – Basic MS Word formats and the ability to follow document instructions in the book | Language Objectives: Students will read and apply document book instructions in order to complete Orientation; beginning on page 45. Save as: Last initials. First name. Orientation; do NOT drop today. |
