Homework: Finish the front side of your metaphors sheet. If you have not completed your IXL skills record sheet or journal entries, I will still accept it but it will be late.

Agenda: We will begin our new unit on poetry by watching a short video on flocabulary while taking notes, then will complete an activity in our reading groups to familiarize ourselves with the different types of poems.

Agenda: Homework check- pages 208-231 as well as Journal 4. We will review unfamiliar words and briefly discuss last night’s reading. The remainder of class time will be spent playing a review Jeopardy game for Monday’s test on “Out of the Dust”.

Homework: Study for the test on “Out of the Dust” Monday. Finish IXL skills and fill out your record sheet- DUE Monday, March 26th. If you did not finish the 4th journal in class, that is homework as well.

Due Dates: Out of the Dust Test is postponed until Monday, March 26th!

We will spend 15 minutes on IXL skills. With the remaining time, students will start reading for their homework assignment- pages 86-113.
