TASKS FOR THE WEEK OF MAY 4th – MAY 8th

I just want to say GREAT JOB  to those students who are getting so much work done!  I am so PROUD of YOU!! 🐒🌠 You know who all of you are!!  I continue to enter your completed work in the Snow Learning Log, and I am so impressed with so many of you for getting so much work done!!


However, if you’re not getting your work done, it’s really important that you take the time to get caught up.  Complete your responsibilities for this week FIRST, then go back and get caught up.  Email me if you need help getting organized.   I’M HERE TO HELP!


Here are your tasks for this week.  I have broken it down by subject. This is for the WHOLE week, so please use my sample schedule to try and plan your week out.  If you need help creating a schedule, please let me know.  My sample schedule is located below your tasks for this week.

It is very important that you complete your assignments.  Once you complete your work, I report the amount of work you’re completing during the week to Mrs. Alcodray in our school work-log. If you have any questions, please let me know!  


IMPORTANT:  OUR LIVE VIDEO LEARNING SESSIONS ARE BACK!  EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY AT 1:30 PM.  I will continue to teach lessons, and take attendance during the meetings.   (Instructions for logging in were sent to you last week.  Please let me know if you need me to resend them to you.)

Tasks for the Week of May 4th – May 8th

MATHZEARN: Complete 4 Lessons.  Right now you should be on Module 6 Lesson 4.  If you are far behind, try to get caught up. 

Khan Academy: 10 minutes a day  (50 minutes by the end of the day Friday, May 8th) 

WATCH THE 3 MATH VIDEOS I posted in our spelling google classroom BEFORE OUR VIDEO CHAT LESSON ON TUESDAY, May 5TH.  Be prepared to discuss the lesson.  You do NOT have to complete the problem set.   Link to video: Module 6 Lesson 2 Videos      
READINGIReady: 20 minutes a day (100 minutes completed by the end of the day Friday, May 8th). 

READWORKS: In our Reading Common Core Google Classroom, complete the assignment “The Homework Hubbub” focusing on Comparing and Contrasting.  Due by Wednesday May 6th. 

READY BOOK ASSIGNMENT IN OUR READING COMMON CORE GOOGLE CLASSROOM TITLED: Ready Book Weekly Lesson–Lesson 19: Understanding Supporting Evidence Due: Friday May 8th. 

READ 20 minutes a day from your book or any online resource you’re using.  Enjoy your reading!
WRITINGOpinion Writing in our Process Writing Google Classroom.  PLEASE BE SURE TO COMPLETE THIS TASK THIS WEEK.   Email Mrs. Saad for questions: saadl@dearbornschools.org  

Summaries–  Write 2 summaries from the reading you did for 2 of the days this week.  This is located in our Work on Writing Google Classroom and is due Friday.

Here is a SAMPLE SCHEDULE of what your day MIGHT look like:

9:55-10:00–CHECK YOUR SCHOOL EMAIL

10:00-10:20—IReady–Do your BEST!

10:25-10:45–Brain Break–Play outside,  Dance, GoNoodle!

10:50-11:20–Zearn 1 Lesson

11:20-11:35–Break/Snack

11:45-11:55–Khan Academy for 10 minutes.

11:55-12:20–Chill-out and Read a book for 25 minutes

12:20-1:20 LUNCH–Eat a good lunch, drink some water, and get some exercise!

1:25-1:50–Reading Summary.  Work on one of your reading summaries for the week.

1:50-2:00–Brain BreakPlay outside, Dance, GoNoodle! 

2:00-2:20–Spelling Word Work

2:20-2:30–Brain BreakDo the brain break we would do as a class…tiny circles, wing flappers, more!

2:35-:300–ReadWorks OR Writing OR BrainPop OR Social Studies or Science

3:00-9:00 Enjoy the rest of your day, spend time with your family, get exercise, play a game, eat dinner, do a family project, have fun, stay healthy, stay safe, and get a good night’s rest!
