Here is a poster contest for 5th graders only that your child may like to enter.
Pls. label and send in the raffle tickets/cash for the fundraiser today. Also, this is the last week to send in box tops since they are changing over to a digital format. Please send them in by Thursday! Mrs. Courtright and I will be adding the dates/times for sign up genius and the holiday breakfast and the student creation of gingerbread houses by week’s end. We will post and let you know as soon as they are up!
Mini Skits
Please have your child share their mini skit video that has been uploaded to Google Classroom. The skits showcase some of the relationships between groups of people during the Age of Exploration.
FYI: We nearing the end of Unit 2 so an assessment will be coming up. Most likely, it will takes place near December 6th. More details and a review to come.
Popcorn Tomorrow!
We will have POPCORN tomorrow…so please be sure to send in those quarters.
Drivers Needed
We are still in need of drivers for our field trip to Henry Ford Community College to see our fellow student, Affrica, perform in Mary Poppins. It is next Wednesday, November 20th. We will need to leave DuVall at 9:20. Please let me know if you can drive. So far, I only have enough drivers for 10 students.

Due to the unexpected snow day, I will be rescheduling conferences. I have added slots for this Thursday and Monday. November 11
There is a PTA meeting this week on Wednesday at 7:00. Parent teacher conferences are tomorrow and Thursday.
We will be having a mid-module assessment over Module 2 on Thursday. It includes multi-digit multiplication with and without decimals. Many students are struggling with this, pls. help them practice and get them on ZEARN. Most students are NOT using zearn at home at all.
Mary Poppins Slips due Monday
Permission Slips and money were due today for Mary Poppins. I will accept them Monday also.
Popcorn Poppers still needed
I still do not have anyone to pop popcorn tomorrow. If you can, please let me know by 3:00.
