Wednesday Update

From Range Rick Magazines: With schools, offices, and other public spaces closing across the country, we want to help you stay entertained and engaged in the natural world. So we are making our website free to all visitors through the end of June. We have also made all the digital editions of our magazines free to the public for the next few months.

And here’s a tip for parents: We hope you’ll take advantage of the activity ideas and student pages in our free monthly Ranger Rick Educator’s Guides and Ranger Rick Jr. Parent Reading Guideshttps://rangerrick.org/stuck-indoors/?fbclid=IwAR12C3XwFIM0MQmcNsxXhmK2nJrIKqbsWcZMe81cIJiDj4lgfSlURixgJ20

Thoughts about Assigned work: We tried to put the work in a framework the kids are familiar with and that’s the weekly Daily 5 menu. They have been using this since October. Each child can do as much or as little per day this week and just try to get it all done. There is no punishment if it doesn’t happen. We just wanted to give the kids/parents resources and specific grade level assignments that we thought the kids could handle. Feel free to email as much as you need. I’m looking at what’s been turned in so far and some of the students are forgetting to “submit” the work that they have done on Readworks. Also, chrome books will be available to families that don’t have a computer. If you need one, check DuVall’s blog daily, as it will be posted there when they are available for checkout. Try not to stress!
