Today, we celebrated all the hard work that the students put into the NWEA and John!

John completed Bloom’s Ladder and we are so proud of him! Bloom’s Ladder is a teaching tool that I use to deepen students’ reading comprehension. Each level has 6 reading strategies and there are 6 levels. Each level increases in difficulty and thinking ability. I know there are a couple of student’s right behind John, who will be next?

FYI: I only require 2 reading strategies per week so racing to the top is NOT the objective; high quality, high level thinking and comprehension are. All of the students have been working hard and should be proud of their progress because I am proud of them and each one of them continues to grow as a reader.
