Per the new district learning plan, starting this week all families are EXPECTED to engage in-class activities and meet with teachers through twice a week. Please complete one of the activities on Google Classroom, assignments on Raz-Kids/Headsprout and Moby Max or paper/pencil activities. If your student completes a paper/pencil activity you MUST take a picture and submit it on ClassTag or Google Classroom. Participation will be monitored! ABCmouse can be used for brain breaks, but students MUST complete assignments.
If you have not filled out the following surveys please do.

Below is more information on the district learning plan.
Dearborn Schools announced the State of Michigan approved Continuity of Learning plan for the rest of the school year. This plan is posted on the district website. The learning plan defines expectations for learning to continue for each school, teachers, students and parents. Together we will continue learning!
Dr. Maleyko posted a very good video explaining the Continuity of Learning plan. The video is about 16 minutes and includes a great summary by Executive Director, Fatme Faraj. You can view this video at this link: https://youtu.be/BBF9D4DigPE.
On the Dearborn Schools District website there are links to all written documents about the Continuity of Learning plan. You may reach this page at the following link: https://dearbornschools.org/services/dearborn-public-schools-continuity-of-learning-plan/.
Finally, on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week, Mr. Higgins will post a video summarizing the learning plan and expectations for all. We want the best for all students to ensure they are ready for the next grade level when we return to school in the fall!
Here is a great video on navigating Google Classroom
For our class, once you are signed in you will want to go to Classword and find your students’ name.
I hope this helps!
A suggestion for Moby Max is for students to work for 15 minutes in a core subject – Math, Reading, Early Reading, Language, Writing, Science, Social Studies
Students will earn game time after completing 15 minutes of work.
Good morning!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
I have made some assignments in Google Classroom:
https://classroom.google.com/u/1/c/NTM0OTk3NzMxOTBa
Classcode: 2gqfnju
For writing, I would like students to start a journal of one thing they do each day. Students are encouraged to draw a picture and write about their favorite thing of the day. After your student is done, please write out what they say they have written. Or write it for them and then have them copy what you wrote.
In Google Classroom they also have adapted binders, this is all work that we have done over the year. I am going to continue to add assignments to each student.
Also, if students are signed into Google Classroom we can all get together for a read aloud. Please sign into Google Classroom as soon as possible and let me know a good time of day for a read aloud, I was think in the morning.
I am seeing some excellent work on the websites I have provided. I have now assigned some activities to try on Moby Max.
Please remember that for right now we are just doing enrichment activities. If something is too challenging, try a different website — I will be sending suggestions.
Try to do one online activity and one activity that is not technology based (reading, talking about things in your house/on a walk/in your backyard/etc, doing a math activity).
Stay safe and healthy during this time.
Mrs. Dunne
Please join me (and my family) on Tuesday and Thursday for a Bedtime Story at 7:00. I am looking forward to seeing you then!
