Today and tomorrow, we will administer the NWEA reading assessment to each 6th grade and 7th grade student during his/her Language Arts class. The district is using the 70th %ile as an indicator on future success for the ACT test given in high school (which is now the SAT test given in high school starting this school year).
Each student will be responsible to know his/her overall reading score, as well as the RIT band score for narrative text, informational text, and vocabulary.
