Good afternoon everyone,
This week is almost done, but next week we are taking the NWEA reading assessment. The testing days will be Tuesday (Apr. 25), Wednesday (Apr. 26), Thursday (Apr. 27). Friday the 28th will be used if needed. When your reading assessment is complete, you will read from your independent book and write a reading response entry.
It is imperative that your student shows growth on this assessment. Any student that is two grades below grade level or worse in reading and did not make one-year’s growth in reading will be taking a blended learning class in the summer for eight weeks. This is a type of summer school so be sure to look for more information in the coming weeks.
