Good morning,
In the 6th grade classes, we will continue to focus on narrative text features, such as theme (overall message) and sequence of events. In the 7th grade classes, we will continue to focus on poetry features, such as stanza, rhyme scheme, meter.
Also, in all of the L.A. classes, small groups will meet with me to improve on the argumentative writing essay. As each student improves the essay, the student’s writing trait scores will increase in MiStar.
Next week, we have a late start on March 15th. Also, we have the spring picture day on March 17th, which is also St. Patrick’s Day. Finally, Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up at the middle school level either on March 22nd or March 23rd. Stay tuned for any announcements.
Please continue to read 20 minutes each night to increase the problem solving skills, which transcend reading and assist with life decisions.
