Dear First Grade Families,                                                             4-16-18

First Grade Market Day is on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.  Students have been working hard creating products to sell during First Grade Market Day.  For our Social Studies lessons, we studied economics and students learned about producers, consumers, goods and services and needs and wants.  Students are really looking forward to selling the products they created.  If possible, please visit our First Grade Market Day and we could always use more volunteers to help students sell the products.  The money we earn will be used for our end of the year field trip to Greenfield Village.  This field trip is part of our next Social Studies unit about history and learning about the past.

Reading homework continues to include reading 20 minutes daily and recording minutes read on the April reading log.

The shape robots that students created are amazing!  Thank you for all of your support for this project.  Students recycled items and created a variety of incredible robots.  I am always amazed at how creative ths students are as they work on various projects.

Since we are still working on projects for market day, our classroom could us more glue sticks and we also need more tissue.  Again, thank you for all of your support.

Have a great week!
