Dear First Grade Families, 10-7-19

Spelling booklets will be sent home today. Please sign your child’s booklet and return it to school.

I am giving students a new sight word book to practice as part of homework. Please review the sight words with your child.

Homework continues to include reading 15 minutes or more daily and recording minutes read on the October Reading Log. Students can reread books several times to build fluency. You can also review the book with your child by discussing who the characters are and describing what happened in the story.

Field trip permission slips are due this Friday, October 11, 2019.

On Friday, students have a half day of school. Students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m.

Reminders: Wear gym shoes and return library books on Friday.
