Welcome to fourth grade! I am looking forward to a great year of learning. My name is Mrs. Dobronski and I will be your child’s teacher this school year. I have taught first grade at Haigh for several years. I have also taught middle school. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Michigan. Aside from teaching, I am a wife and mother. I have three children.
We will begin this school year with online learning and hopefully we can return to in person instruction at Haigh soon. I am dedicated to helping your child learn. I have high expectations for your child and I will do all I can to help your child succeed.
I am looking forward to an exciting and productive year of learning. You are the most important person in your child’s life. Your involvement and support is extremely important. Please help your child connect to the online Zoom lessons for daily lessons. Working together, we can make this a great school year of learning for your child.

Here is the schedule for the first week of school only. Students have half days of school for the first week. We will have Zoom meetings that begin at 8:55 a.m. on Monday and Thursday mornings only. On Tuesday and Wednesday between 9:00 – 10:30 a.m., the fourth grade is having a drive thru for parents and students to get online learning resources. Please come to Haigh School with your child on either Tuesday or Wednesday to get the important resources.
On Monday, August 31, beginning at 8:55 a.m. please help your child log into our Zoom meeting. I sent the link to the Zoom meeting in the letter I emailed to parents. There is also an activity for your child to do at home today. Please have your child create a small 8 1/2 x 11 size All About Me Poster. Your child can write their name and decorate the poster. They can include words, sentences and pictures to describe themselves. The All About Me poster is due on Thursday. Students will present them at our morning Zoom meeting.
On Tuesday, September 1 and Wednesday, September 2 from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m., the fourth grade teachers will be having the drive thru for parents and students to get resources for online learning. The drive thru will be located on Coburn Street.
On Thursday, September 3 beginning at 8:55 a.m., please help your child log into the Zoom meeting. I sent the Zoom meeting link in the letter I emailed to parents. We will review expectations and procedures for online learning. Students will also present the All About Me poster.
Students do not have school on Friday, September 4 and Monday, September 7. Our full day of online learning will begin on Tuesday, September 8 beginning at 8:55 a.m. – 3:50 p.m. I will review the details for the schedule at our Zoom meeting.
