Dear First Grade Families,                                                                                 9-22-14

Spelling booklets will be sent home today.  Please sign your child’s booklet and have him or her return it to school on Tuesday.

Your child will continue to take home a book bag each day .  Please have your child read 15 minutes or more daily for homework.  Some days will include writing a response about what was read.

We are finishing the Unit 1 Math lessons this week. A Unit 1 Math Review will be sent home this week.  Please review with your child as we prepare to take the Unit 1 Math test.

We will also be finishing the Social Studies unit on history and learning about the past.

Science lessons continue to focus on study of the sun, sky, weather and seasons.

Reminders:  Gym Tuesday, wear or bring gym shoes.  Return library books on Friday.
