Check your emails and/or Schoology to find a Zoom link for tomorrow morning at 10 am. This was a switch to our schedule we posted on Monday as we have made some progress prepping Schoology for next week and want you to see what there is to do.

Please get on if you are able, if not we will record the meeting and upload it on Schoology.

Good Morning First Grade Families,

Thank you so much for your patience this week as we work through this “Orientation Week”. We will continue with the schedule that we had posted at the beginning of this week.

Today’s Assignment-

Parent Survey posted on Schoology (this will help us know who is able to access Schoology and fill out forms) (Attendance taken when Parent Survey is completed by noon)

If you did not finish yesterdays School Bus craft please finish that today and upload to your child’s Schoology. I have received many assignments already and they look so great. Expect a comment from me about your project by the end of the day today.

We will be putting a grade on these assignments this week just to get you use to seeing how assignments will be scored and where you can find the grades on Schoology.

However, for future reference you may want to try and start messaging me through Schoology. There is a icon of an envelope at the top right of the screen. You can click on it and send me a private message.

It was so nice meeting all of the First Grade Families that came to pick up supplies. We are so excited to get to know you better as we begin online instruction.

Today’s assignment will be posted under “Materials” on Schoology. You can refer back to the “Orientation Video” we posted on the blog yesterday, Aug. 31st. You will find the craft supplies in the their bag that you picked up at school today.

Hi First Grade Families!

We also have recorded a read aloud today and will post it on Schoology along with a poll for you to click on. You can also comment on that as well.

We are excited to get started but we know that we will need to go slow to get started so we are very thankful for this week so we can take our time and make sure everyone can access the same information.

Here is a short layout of how the week will go:

Monday- Introduction Phone Calls and Orientation Video (Attendance was taken from phone calls and emails)

Tuesday- Supply Pick up from 9:30-10:30 am and School Bus Craft Directional Video on Schoology (Attendance taken during Supply pickup)

Wednesday- Parent Survey posted on Schoology (this will help us know who is able to access Schoology and fill out forms) (Attendance taken when Parent Survey is completed by noon)

Thursday- Follow up Phone Calls and Schedule for next week posted on Schoology (Attendance taken during follow up phone calls)

Remember, this weekend is Labor Day so we will have a long weekend. No school Friday or Monday. Can’t wait to speak with you Tuesday! Reminder: After this week, all communication will be through Schoology.
