I hope all had wonderful Memorial Day & Eid Mubarak celebrations! It was a beautiful weekend. Today we are back to work. As you read, below, I will see all of you on Thursday. You will be picking up your desk materials and dropping off any school materials you have. I listed the items you should gather to return to school below. If you have any questions, please email me. You will continue your math studies on volume, reading The Westing Game, studying the various kingdoms in Life Science, and practice using context clues in language today. Please see your Daily Schedule for the specific directions that you will find in Classroom.

For your scheduling purposes, on May 28 students will be able to come to school to pick up their desk belongings and to drop off all their school items. The items for the 5th graders will include: a safety belt(if a safety or rainy day ranger), instrument(if in the instrumental program), social studies book, yellow social studies atlas book, science book, Treasures reading book, and any classroom or library books you may have borrowed.

All of the students’ belongings will be bagged and ready for pick up on May 28 between 11:30-2:30. I will share more information as I receive it.

Hello! Hopefully the rain will stop soon! I am hoping you are sending pictures for the end of year video. I am anxious to see all of your pictures of the years you have been at Howard. Let me know if you need any assistance with that, and I will help you.

Today’s lessons continue our story with Firepaw, (I like the new character you meet today!), practice of your spelling words, development of volume in math(remember you have your Homework Helper if you get stuck), and show us how George Washington encourages his army as he advances on the enemy. We will meet today at 1:00. I’m anxious to hear how your registration at Bryant is going. You can also let me know how you like The Westing Game. We can discuss chapter 3. Have your questions ready! There was another fly by today to support first responders. The support our state is giving to all the people that work long hours to take care of those suffering is a welcome sight.

Today you will take your Topic Quiz in math. Do your best. Take your time. Have your shape properties beside you to guide you. You will continue reading Warriors today. I am anxious to read your responses today. In science, learn about new vocabulary as you read more about ecosystems. Today is our last day to work with our spelling words.
