Last week, the students finished their personal narrative essays focusing on one small moment in their lives where they learned something. Then, we switched gears learning about argumentative writing with the parts of it, claim, evidence and reasoning or CER. We also started learning how to take a Stand on an issue. We ended the week and the first marking on Friday, Nov. 2nd.
This coming up week, we do not have school on November 6th because it’s election Day. The rest of the week, we will continue learning about CER learning to better understand each part of it.
The following week, will be Parent-Teacher Conferences on Monday, Nov. 12th, and Wednesday, Nov, 14th, 2018 from 4-7:00 p.m. We hope to see all of our students parents. Report cards will be handed out to the patents on those nights.
