Writing numbers– Please have your child practice writing their numbers 1-50 or higher.
Matching numbers to objects– Please help your child match objects to a written number- Give your child a written number and ask them to count that many objects or draw them.
Counting- Please ask your child to count for starting with 1 and counting up. Practice starting with other numbers beside 1 too. This helps your child identify numbers big and small. Have them count by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s and 10’s.
Adding/Subtracting- Please help your child with adding and subtracting. They can use a number bond diagram to help with this or just numbers, symbols and pictures.
Shapes- Please help your child identify 2 and 3 dimensional shapes. They could find things in your house that represent the shapes. Help them discover the attributes of shapes. Such as a square has 4 corners and 4 sides. A circle has no sides or corners. etc.
