Literacy Items
Reading-Please read with and to your child everyday. When you read with your child ask them questions about the story. Here are some questions to ask: Who are the characters? Where does the story take place? Is there a problem in the story? How are the characters feeling? Did the problem get solved?
Writing– Please encourage your child to write and draw everyday. They can write about things they are doing or how their feeling. This is great way for them to express themselves and share how they are feeling.
Handwriting/Letter ID- Please have your child practice writing both capital and lowercase letters. They can practice tracing the letters on the sheets I sent home. Or if possible you could print some handwriting sheets off an educational site. Just search free handwriting.
