Today we made our own claims to our essential question and formed grouped based on similar opinions. In our groups, we collaborated on creating a C.E.R. paragraph poster that explains our opinions using evidence from our Article of the Week to support our opinions. We then presented our paragraphs to the class.

Have a great weekend!

Today we practiced identifying different typed of evidence using real writing examples. We also took our Unit 2 Vocabulary Test – retake to be determined at teacher’s discretion. Please do not contact me about a retake until the decision has been made.

Grades are updated with everything but your Letters of Complaint which will be added by Sunday evening.

Message about MobyMax Verb grades:

Students were given a month to complete these Verb lessons (in class time AND at home!) and ask for a retake on them. 85% or higher received full points. Anything marked as “Missing Assignment” with a “0” in the points earned is missing because the student did not complete yet.  These still are expected to be completed and are now subject to a point deduction of 10% for not completing on time.  If a student gets below 85% there will be no retake.

Anything with NO GRADE input is still being redone by the student (they are in the process of retaking because they asked me to reassign BEFORE the due date). These will be input as soon as the student completes it and lets me know they have done so.

Have a great evening!
