Reading: We began to read The Giver, completing chapters 1 & 2. We began filling in our resource pages such as the Pyramid of Action, Jobs List, and Vocabulary chart.

Writing: Students worked on the Greek and Latin Roots “Photo”. During Writer’s Workshop we worked on finishing our rough drafts for our compare and contrast essay. This is homework if not completed during class yesterday and today.

• Compare and Contrast Essay Rough Draft DUE TOMORROW
• One Pagers #7 & #8 –  Due May 23rd (15 DAYS!)
• 5 ReadTheory due by Sunday every week! We should have 30 by Sunday since March 30th
• Read 100 minutes of your chapter book every week!! (about 20 minutes per day) – Read 2 full novels EVERY card marking
