Mon./Tues. Synchronous Time
We signed up for the website CommonLit today. This is going to replace Newsela from now on due to budget cuts in the district. We learned how to use CommonLit and we read and discussed the article “Raising Elephants”. If you did not finish your 10 annotations, they are due by the next Synchronous class.
Mon./Tues. Asynchronous Work
- ReadTheory (5 quizzes)– log onto ReadTheory and finish the pretest so you can start your homework quizzes – 5 quizzes due Friday @ 3:10pm (you will see this as 15 total quizzes passed since Sept. 14th)
Learning Labs
Learning labs have started but are virtual only right now. If you are invited to learning lab, you are required to attend. My learning labs on Mon/Tues are for those who have not finished NWEA. Check your student email for my reminder!! Learning Lab Zoom Sessions are in my Schoology Zoom Room.

Your Zoom sessions are set up in your teachers’ Schoology courses. Should you have any Tech issues during Synchronous time (AM), you need to contact the Dearborn Technology Department 313-827-8400. Shutting down your computer (closing the Chromebook or computer is NOT shutting it down) or making sure you are completely logged out of all other Google accounts on the device you are using fixes most issues.
