We continued working on our Theme Projects today. This is a group project that will be due to present on Monday, March 9th! Students will be given class time during our reading block to work on this until then.

During writing time, finished the rest of our introduction paragraph from yesterday. We reviewed how to catch our readers attention with a “hook” and provide our reader with background information on the topic.

Unit 3 Comprehension Test is Tuesday, March 10.

This will cover theme, making connections, “The Good Deed” (open book), and your theme project story choice (open book).  All skills learned previously are subject to be on any test, this includes figurative language & genre!

All missing assignments are due no later than March 20th and are subject to 10% loss of points. If it is an online assignment, it is YOUR responsibility to tell me it’s completed.

Homework

• Read Theory (5 passed every week) – 30 passed since January 18th
• Read your “good fit” book for 20 minutes (you need to do this for your One-Pagers!)
• IXL – Theme (B #1-2) & Adjectives (EE #1, 2, 7) – due by Friday March 13th!
• Article of the Week – PRO/CON: Binge-watching TV due TOMORROW!
• One-Pager #5 & 6 due March 20th – 2 weeks from today!!!
