December 11th

Bellwork: We did 15 minutes of silent reading and then completed metacognition reading log entry #11 – metacognition logs will be collected and graded next week (1-10).

Reading: As a class, we went over MobyMax homework expectations and an IXL extra credit opportunity. Extra credit is detailed after the homework listed below. We discussed the story we read yesterday, “All Summer in a Day”, with a partner and had a whole group discussion about it. If you missed reading the story, you can read it here: http://www.newbremenschools.org/Downloads/All%20Summer%20in%20a%20Day.pdf

Writing: We began a Rainbow Write where we got to choose one of 4 CER options (genre, conflict, mood/tone, or story device; support with 2 pieces of textual evidence) and worked with our groups to complete our posters. We will finish these and present tomorrow.
