January 11th

We finished our figurative language notes today by discussing and practicing with allusions and idioms. Students have practice on MobyMax that is due by February 1st. The remaining time in class was writer’s workshop time. Students were given choices for what they wanted to work on during this time.

-All One-Pagers and late work were due today. I will not accept work on Monday.

– Your ISN will be collected for grading on Monday, don’t forget! 

– Unit 2 Comprehension Test (Monday, January 14th – open book)

  • Anything story related we have learned & been tested are subject to show up on every test! (not grammar though)

Homework:

  • Study for Unit 2 Comprehension Test
  • Read Theory –  5 passed by the end of the week, EVERY week   (11/5-1/18 you will need to have 50 quizzes passed during this date range for full credit in the grade book)
  • Read 100 minutes of your chapter book every week!! (about 20 minutes per day)
  • MobyMax Language Assignments due February 1st
