January 9th

Today we reviewed figurative language and took notes on onomatopoeia and personification. During Writer’s workshop we developed our story plans into a rough draft. This is homework if it wasn’t finished during this time. Please bring tomorrow to put in your working folders for credit.

All One-Pagers are due on Friday of this week (January 11th – 2 days from now!!).

In addition, no late work will be accepted past this Friday to allow me time to grade before the end of the card marking to make sure grades are as accurate as possible.

    • Story devices
    • Genres
    • Mood/Tone
    • Anything story related we have learned & been tested are subject to show up on every test! (not grammar though)

Homework:

  • One-Pager #3 & #4 – Due no later than January 11th, that’s in 2 DAYS!!
  • Read Theory –  5 passed by the end of the week, EVERY week   (11/5-1/18 you will need to have 50 quizzes passed during this date range for full credit in the grade book)
  • Read 100 minutes of your chapter book every week!! (about 20 minutes per day)
