Today we reviewed classroom expectations and reflected on our own behavior moving into the 2nd half of the year. We began our figurative language unit with reviewing what we remembered and taking notes on examples and definitions of similes and metaphors. During writer’s workshop we reviewed the writing process and began brainstorming ideas for an upcoming narrative.

All One-Pagers are due on Friday of this week (January 11th). In addition, no late work will be accepted past this Friday to allow me time to grade before the end of the card marking.

• Read 100 minutes of your chapter book every week!! (about 20 minutes per day)
