We went to the library and then we were introduced to our Unit 1 Setting Project. Student’s chose a story (either “The School Play” or “Eleven”) as their focus and went back to the text to find evidence related to the setting of the story (when the story took place or where it took place).  They needed to find at least 4 quotes about the setting and draw pictures to represent that quote. They were given at least an hour to work on this. If they did not finish it is now homework and is due Thursday October 25th.

Students have a Parts of Speech quiz Thursday (10/25).  They may use their ISN, MobyMax homework, and Quizlet to study.

One-Pager #1 and #2 are due IN 3 DAYS!!! (October 26th) Each student should have TWO full novels read by this point in the year if they are to finish their One-Pagers on time. These are 20 points summative each and will impact their grade tremendously if not turned in. Please make sure you are not waiting until the last day to complete these, they will take more than an evening to complete.

Homework:

• Read 100 minutes of your chapter book this week!! (whenever it fits into your busy schedule! Just make sure it totals 100 minutes)
• Read Theory – 5 more quizzes passed by Friday!
• MobyMax – Language – “Functions of Parts of Speech” (sign in through Clever only!) – Due October 31st

• One-Pagers #1 & 2 due October 26th – THAT’S IN 3 DAYS!!!!
