Today we practiced our first Reading and Writing Workshop Station Rotation day.  We did 4 rotations with 6 reading and writing choices. Students were assigned 2 of the 6 that they had to accomplish by the end of class and were able to make 1-2 more choices on their own. While they were working in their stations I pulled some students to work on improving their CER prompts from last week.

Everyone was assigned “Functions of Parts of Speech” on MobyMax – Language. YOU MUST SIGN IN THROUGH CLEVER. Students must earn an 85% or higher in order to receive full points. This will be due October 31st but they will get some class time to work on it every week.

One-Pager #1 and #2 are due at the end of the month (October 26th). Each student should have at least ONE full novel read by this point in the year and should be currently reading their 2nd book if they are to finish their One-Pagers on time. These are 20 points summative each and will impact their grade tremendously if not turned in. Please make sure you are not waiting until the last day to complete these, they will take more than an evening to complete.

Homework:

• Read 100 minutes this week!! (whenever it fits into your busy schedule! Just make sure it totals 100 minutes)
• Read Theory – 5 more quizzes passed by Sunday!
• MobyMax – Language – “Functions of Parts of Speech” – Due October 31st
• One-Pagers #1 & 2 due October 26th – MAKE SURE YOU ARE READING – 2 NOVELS COMPLETED EVERY CARD MARKING!  End of card marking is in a month, have you read at least one book so far?
