Blocks 1 & 2 – We did an MSTEP Writing Activity where we discussed the elements of effective essays and evaluated student work from prior MSTEP tests. We then discussed why we gave then that evaluation and tied it back to what made it effective vs ineffective. Block 3 did this activity yesterday with the guidance of our Literacy Coordinator.

Block 3 – We began our Folktale Projects today. Each group picked their own folktale and are analyzing their story for their folktale and literary elements and then creating a Google Slide presentation to share with the class. This is an ongoing project with a tentative due date of May 1st. Students will be given class time to work on this but are encouraged to work on their part at home if they need to.
