January 17th

Today we reviewed what we have learned about the types of figurative language and practiced identifying figurative language in stories. We also practiced with identifying conjunctions within a sentence.

Enjoy your evening!

Unit 2 Comprehension Test is on Monday, January 22nd! This will be open book (NOT open note!) about the stories “All Summer in a Day” and “The Jacket” (we are reading and discussing on Thursday). It will also contain application of identifying and labeling figurative language in a story.  Review prior concepts learned in class as well (point of view, types of conflict, genre, mood/tone, story devices, story vocabulary).

ISN’s will be collected for grading on Wednesday January 24th. Make sure your table of contents is up to date and you don’t have missing notes!
