October 13th

Today we did a C.E.R. (claim, evidence, and reasoning) activity that involved solving a mystery using evidence from a story and picture. They worked in groups to discuss relevant evidence and why that evidence is important to proving what really happened.  We had a lot of fun and write our full predictions on Monday!

Middle school reading success is all about comprehension and expanding their vocabulary! If you would like to be more involved in working on reading at home, here are some resources to get you started!   • 20 minutes of reading “good-fit” book (60 minutes per week!)
  • 60 minutes of MobyMax-LANGUAGE 
  • One-Pagers are due no later than November 3rd! (End of marking period 1)
    •   Book #1 and Book #2 directions have been given to the students!
