Today we began reviewing Author’s Purpose (P.I.E.). We took some notes in our Interactive Student Notebooks (ISN) and went into a choice round of Daily 5. We reviewed nonfiction text features (title and headings) and talked to the text (annotated) using Newsela Pro. After another round of Daily 5, wended class with watching a Parts of Speech video. Homework

• 20 minutes of reading “good-fit” book (60 minutes per week!) – be prepared to write about your book during Friday’s bellwork
