Today we finished our chapters 9-11 guided questions with our Literature Circles during our discussions and had a whole class discussion on the questions we felt challenged with. We also analyzed chapter 11 for sensory details used to describe Jonas’s memory transmission of snow/sledding and sunshine/sunburn on a graphic organizer. Students did not finish this and will continue working on it tomorrow. Chapters 12-13 should have been read during Daily 5 time. Any student that did not finish reading chapters 12-13 must read it at home. The link is posted under The Giver tab on my blog.

Homework:

• Read for 20 minutes and respond on reading log (due Thursday)
• Library TOMORROW (last time to checkout a book!)
• Read Theory Pizza party is this Thursday – 4th period still in the lead! I will announce the winner tomorrow!!
