Yesterday, Tuesday 4/21, was our first science Google Meet video conference session. I have to say that it did not go as planned. Most students were there for the right reason and conducted themselves in a very mature manner. I am so proud and thankful for that.
However, there were a number of students that were misusing the comment section. Many were discussing movies, video games, and using acronyms that contained letters that represented curse words. This is ABSOLUTLY UNACCEPTABLE and does not follow our school’s code of conduct. I will be we contacting the parents of individual students today.
Moving forward, students who misuse this tool, will be removed from the session and reported to administration. I will not allow them back in to subsequent sessions until administration advises me to do so.
