It is so nice to have our learning plan approved by Wayne RESA and we can get back to work, in our new and modified way.
Families, I want to thank you all for supporting us and our/your student(s). We certainly cannot continue do this without you.
To are our families of first responders, medical professionals, grocery store employees, and all other essential workers, I cannot THANK YOU enough. You are our backbone.
I understand that many of you may be struggling to find the balance of working at home and helping to facilitate the learning that your children are doing. I also understand that having to go to work and continue to help your children learn can be even more challenging. I am here to support in anyway that I can. On a personal note, I find myself in a power struggle with my kindergarter some days. He doesn’t always want to do “school”. I keep reminding myself that BALANCE is key.
When it comes to school work, I have tried to be very specific with the assignments I have created in past weeks and the weeks moving forward. I want to deliver the content and standards that are important for the students to learn without bogging them down and hours of work do. I will also be hosting a Google Meets/Hangout session each week. Students will get an invitation through their school email account. (Details will come in another blog post.) They can log on to ask questions and to say hi. I’d love to see my students again. I hated the fact that we didn’t get a proper goodbye.
Again, thank you for all of your help and understanding. We are learning as we go too. Stay safe and stay healthy.
