Every Monday, 2-3 students go to the grocery store to shop for items we will need for our Fun Friday Cooking lesson. We usually make recipes students can make independently or with as little help as possible from an adult. Though it is not easy right now to head to the grocery store and pick up items you might need, you can always look around your pantry and use items you already have! Or better yet, why not have your child help cook your next meal?
Here are some of the foods we have made in the classroom:
- Cheese and Crackers
- Soup
- Cookies
- Macaroni and Cheese
- Cinnamon Rolls
- Muffins
- Butter
- Pudding with Crushed up Oreo’s
- Tortilla Pizza
- Fruit Kabobs
- Fruit Salad
- Trail Mix
- Cupcakes
