Happiness Monday!

Happy Monday, everyone!

For today’s lesson we are going to read a short story from our newspaper called, “Sharing Happiness.” There are WH questions at the bottom of each picture to ask. I am working on how to make this PDF document more interactive, so please bear with me! 😉

Important vocabulary words to go over:

Go over each word with your child a couple times and give them examples.
WH QUESTIONS examples:
Where are people staying? (Answer: Home)
Why are people staying home? (Coronavirus)
WH QUESTIONS EXAMPLES:
Where could people share happiness? (Neighborhoods)
What does sharing mean? (Giving something that makes you happy to another person)
WH QUESTIONS EXAMPLES:
What are people putting on their homes? (Lights)
How does putting lights on their home make people feel? (Better)
WH QUESTIONS EXAMPLES:
What are some people putting in their window? (Teddy Bears)
Have you seen a Teddy Bear in the windows around your neighborhood?
Have your child point to the picture that makes them happy OR you can have them search their home and bring/show you something that makes them happy!

We will continue to work on this story throughout the week!

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Stay safe and keep washing those hands!
