Life Skills Monday

Happy Monday morning! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

For today’s lesson we are going to focus on Life Skills. Life skills are the abilities everyone needs to live independently. Every month we have a new skill we learn in the classroom.

Examples of what we work on:

  • Tying shoelaces
  • Washing clothes
  • Folding clothes
  • Brushing teeth
  • Washing hands
  • Sorting Socks
  • Vacuuming
  • Setting the table
  • Sweeping
  • Dusting
  • Using the microwave
  • Washing Dishes
  • Grocery shopping

In the classroom we use Simply Special Ed’s Monthly Life Skills Center pack. Inside the pack includes:

  • visuals
  • Real pictures of each step
  • letter home to family
  • task analysis
  • sorting labels
  • data sheets
  • certificate of completion

This is FREE download of exactly what we use:

As always, let me know if you need any support or more information!

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, and WASH THOSE HANDS!!
