NWEA testing for math is Wednesday and Thursday.
Our first math quiz will be on Friday. Please use the study guide (given out on Tuesday) and pages 3 to 8 (returned on Wednesday)to study for Friday’s quiz.

Wednesday & Thursday = NWEA math test Please bring a book to read if you finish early
Tuesday= We corrected pages 7&8. Students had to turn in pages 3 to 8 for a credit grade 15/15. They simply must try every problem to get a 15/15 (formative).
We were given a study guide to practice with for Friday’s quiz. (summative)
Monday= finish up Lesson 1 Homework = pages 7-8
Our 1st quiz will be this Friday. You may use pages 3-9 to study from. All students must turn in these pages on Friday before the quiz.
Math NWEA will be Wednesday and Thursday during math classes. Please make sure you get a good nights sleep and eat a great breakfast on those days.
Wednesday is a late start day.

If you don’t have a parent connect login, have the students go through their student connect login (students the user name and password is the same as if you were logging into your computer at school)
Friday = We corrected pages 5-6. Then we discussed restorative circles for math class
Thursday = Assigned pages 5-6 in student workbook (We tore out pages 3-9 and placed them into our math binders. If your student doesn’t have a math binder yet, please get one or have them come and see me)
Wednesday = Students completed Lesson 1 Days 1 & 2 in class. All books are currently staying in the classroom. Look for 1 book to be coming home some time in the future.
Tuesday= Students will be bringing home a parent letter. We will be starting Lesson 1 in class
Monday = Pictures and pre requiste paper as an in class assignment.
- Please look to the right and sign up to receive class news/ homework updates. Please provide your email as well as your child’s last name, first name. This will help me to keep track of which parents are receiving updated math information
2. This week students will be receiving a class syllabus. Instead of signing, please complete number 1 above (last name, first name and parent email address)
3. Students are responsible for completing their Khan Academy minutes by this Friday, September 7. This will be their first summative math grade for the year.

All Dearborn Public elementary schools made students aware of this requirement. If your student did not attend Dearborn Public schools in elementary, please have your student tell me (they are not held to this requirement if they came from a different district)
