Hello Everyone!

I hope all of you had a good weekend and are acting responsibly during this time.  That means staying home (no, you shouldn’t be breaking your fast at another house but your own).  It sounds innocent enough but remember, you can’t see this virus.  It could be lurking anywhere and you could bring the virus home to your family.  It is up to each and every one of us to follow the guidelines.  We will deal with repercussions afterwards if we don’t.

For those of you that are behind, please try to catch up and get your work in.  Even though it is really late, it will benefit you in the end.

I am sure by now that all of you have heard about the horrific problems with google meet last week. The students involved are under criminal investigation by the Dearborn Police Department.  This is a reminder to all of you that what you do online is being monitored and can be traced.  Let’s act responsibly.

Because of the issues, we are switching to a new platform.  There, once again, will be a learning curve for all of us so be patient please.  This platform is in iLearn and it is called Big Blue Button. It gives the teacher more control than google meet.   It will be the first link in your iLearn course called Medical Assisting Virtual Classroom – Big Blue Button (BBB),   MA 2 and 3 meet at 10:00 am on Tuesdays.  MA 5 and 6 meet at 11:00 am on Tuesdays. IMPORTANT: You MUST attend the session for your hour.  Remember this is mandatory meaning you MUST ATTEND.  I look forward to seeing all of you.

Not mandatory are BBB sessions on Thursdays at the same time.  These Thursday sessions are if you have specific questions, or your just want to meet up and discuss coursework or how you are spending your time!

We are going back to AES (https://learn.aeseducation.com ) this week to learn about phlebotomy. You will take your test as a group on Monday, May 4th at 10:00 am.  At that time you should have all of your quizzes completed AND your worksheets too!  A word about the worksheets – open them up along side your module video.  Then complete the worksheet as you are going through the module.  It’s much easier that way.  Please don’t hesitate to send questions or comments my way.  I am here ready to help.  Have a good week.

Mrs. Craig
