I have several ways to stay connected with me during the school year. The iBlog and Remind (text messaging) are services that will directly connect you into our classroom.

To sign up for our iBlog continue to check out this website as I will update it weekly with information that happens in our classroom and in our school.
Remind:
Is a text messaging service that will send you a text message with important information about our classroom. I try to send these announcements out once or twice a week. They are reminders to you as well as your students about homework, quizzes, and tests. Attached is a pdf on how to sign up for this service. The service does apply to standard text messaging rates. Hello parents and students! We are already into Week #3 of the school year. Below are things that are happening this week in our classroom.
6th grade:
~ SLOT Quiz on Long Division will be on Friday 9/23.
~ Students were NWEA Testing (Monday and Tuesday). Please encourage your child to perform at his or her best.
~ Students will continue to practice finding the area of squares and rectangles and will be introduced to triangles.
7th grade Math Lab:
~Students have been introduced to Adding & Subtracting Integers.
~Students will be engaged in activities pertaining to adding & subtracting integers.
~Students received homework support.
8th grade Math Lab:
~Students finished up practice of Order of Operations (P.E.M.D.A.S.). Students will see this in their SLOT in their Math class.
~Students practice & reviewed how to solve one & two step equations.
~Students practice identifying rational and irrational numbers.
~Students received homework support.
Welcome to the end of the 2nd week of the 2016-2017 school year. I would like to thank all the parents and students who attended our Open House on Wednesday. The following are notes for each class:
6th grade:
~SLOT – Long Division, students will have a Quiz on Wednesday 9/21
~Finding area of rectangles and squares, students will have homework 2 nights this week. Students may have finished homework in class.
~ Week 3 – NWEA Math Testing (Monday & Tuesday), please make sure your student is well rested and has a great breakfast.
7th grade Math Lab:
~Students have been reviewing fraction operations
~Students will have time to complete homework with homework support in class.
~Students will be working on Integers starting next week
8th grade Math Lab:
~Students have been reviewing Order of Operations with Integers
~Students will have time to complete homework with homework support in class.
~ Students will be working on Rational and Irrational Numbers next week
