Hi Families,
Today, you will find your child’s NWEA scores in their folder. You will notice the scores are represented in a line graph rather than a bar graph, which is probably what you are used to seeing. There are three lines: the dark line represents your child’s scores, the medium colored line represents the average first grader’s scores in Dearborn Public Schools and the very light colored line represents the scores of an average first grader across the country.
Here are the end of the year expectations for reading and math:
Reading – 175-181
Math – 178-184
If you have any questions about the scores or how to read the graph, please let me know. Feel free to stop by before or after school, send me an e-mail or call the office and they will transfer you to my room.
Enjoy your [rainy] day!
Ms. Otto
