What a week! I have seen TONS of fantastic work and activities from our awesome students this week and am so excited to share them with you all!
Jenin’s mom dug out their old white board to help Jenin practice her weekly spelling words – that’s exactly how we do it at school, too! What a great idea! Elliot took advantage of the warm weather and went outside for his favorite outdoor activity – batting practice! Vinci LOVED the ReadWorks article this week about exploring outer space. Here he is practicing his writing after learning new facts about planets. Way to go, Vinci! Zayn S. was able to print our our Eureka math workbook pages to practice our math standard for this week – breaking apart numbers into 10s and 1s to help add larger, double digit numbers. Excellent work, Zayn!Stella wrote about the best day ever – her 6th birthday! She got a pink, white and purple dollhouse, ate strawberry flavored cake and jumped on a trampoline. That certainly does sound like the best day ever! Liliana wrote about her best day ever – Halloween and trick-or-treating! She added incredible details about going from house to house with her brothers and sisters on her dad’s golf cart. She likes going on the golf cart better because it’s so much faster than walking. She also shared that she knows how her mom and dad take some of the candy for themselves! I love it!! Hadi worked on his journal prompt this week by talking about his superpower – levitation! He wants this superpower because it would be faster than walking. I couldn’t agree more! Great writing! Jenin is working on a grammar sort! This is so cool! She had a bunch of words that she had to place into the correct categories: conjunctions, common nouns, proper nouns, verbs and adjectives. What an awesome extension activity!
Keep up the great work everyone! I love the pictures you share with me and I love being able to share them with all of you as well.
