I’ve also had a few parents ask for a “daily rundown”, so here is my suggestion:
Monday – Reading (30 minutes), word work (15 minutes), math (30 minutes), science (40 minutes), writing (20 minutes)
Tuesday – Reading (30 minutes), word work (15 minutes), math (30 minutes), social studies (40 minutes), writing (20 minutes)
Wednesday – Reading (30 minutes), word work (15 minutes), math (30 minutes), science (40 minutes), writing (20 minutes)
Thursday – Reading (30 minutes), word work (15 minutes), math (30 minutes), social studies (40 minutes), writing (20 minutes)
Friday – Reading (30 minutes), word work (15 minutes), math (30 minutes), writing (20 minutes), Fun time (60 minutes – do one of the extra websites that I listed, go on a virtual field trip, etc.).
Best website to count as reading time = Raz-kids
Best website for word work = Reading Eggs
Best math site to follow curriculum = Zearn
Best science site = Mystery Science
***At this point, the only things that need to be turned in upon returning to school are the blueprints for writing (one narrative, one opinion and one informational – please see original remote learning plans for topics). Everything else will be kept track of by my teacher dashboard, tallying up how many times your student has logged into the sites and how long they are engaging in activities on them.
