Hi everyone!

I wanted to let everyone know that your child’s sight word sticker book bag will be sent home with your student this week. It will be in their book bag every night (please practice the words without a sticker) and needs to be returned to school every day, in their blue reading bag.

The kids will be tested on their sight words every week. There are 5 sight word books: pre-primer, primer, 1st grade, 2nd grade and 3rd grade. The words are not too bad for 2nd and 3rd grade, so I really want to push the kids to get through all 5 books by January. Once your child masters one sight word book, I move them on to the next one. Once they have mastered all 5 books, we will start back with the first book and they will go through and spell all of the words.

Each student will get a ziplock bag with all 5 sight word books in them. They are only to practice the book that is NOT rubber-banded together. Each week they will be tested on the same book until they have mastered them all, then they will move on to the next book.
