It’s that time of year again – our third and final NWEA test(s) of the year! As a reminder, we take the test in two subject areas, reading and math. These are the two main content areas in which first grade focuses on, so we see a lot of growth in these areas throughout the course of the year. Now that the school year is quickly coming to a close, it is time for them to shine and show us everything they have learned this year 🙂

Testing is scheduled from May 14-May 24. I do not have a schedule of days and times yet, but it will be sometime within this time frame.

I have posted these resources before, but I wanted to share them again because they are a great tool in preparing your child for these upcoming tests. They have practiced these flashcards with their 5th grade buddies and have worked on them with a partner during our Daily 5 rotations. They are familiar with them and should be practicing them regularly.

I have also added a tab on my main page with links to a bunch of online resources as well as websites where you can go and print off extra practice worksheets if you are more comfortable with paper/pencil activities.
