Hi everyone,

I have gotten a lot of inquiries from parents about extra summer practice for the kids before 2nd grade. I have done some digging and have found a really good one at Barnes and Noble. The website is as follows:

https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/summer-bridge-activities-grades-1-2-summer-bridge-activities/1112938022?ean=9781483815817

It shows that some locations have it and others keep it as online only. So I would recommend checking your store’s stock before driving there.

You can also find similar work books at the dollar store, Meijer, Wal-Mart, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Target, etc. Any basic practice skills in reading and math would be great! You can get a 1st grade book to keep up the skills they’ve gained this year, or a 2nd grade book to push them. Completely up to you.

I unfortunately cannot make big packets for the kids because of all the copying, so these books are your best option. There are also dozens of great online websites and resources that you can utilize. You can Google things or review some of my previous blog posts that list a bunch of online websites for extra math and ELA practice.

I hope this helps! If you need anything else, please let me know 🙂

Ms. Otto
