I am a famous African American who was born a slave in 1818. I never knew my birthdate, but I believe it was February 14th because my mother always called me her “little Valentine”. I’m most known for writing a narrative about my life as a slave & for advising presidents including President Lincoln. I was a strong abolitionist.
