Happy Wednesday, everybody. I was checking my weather app and wondered how much big data goes into predicting the weather. Even if its not 100% accurate.
Also, after the three primaries yesterday (Ohio postponed theirs due to quarantine…) think about the big data with votes and the demographics. It’s pretty extensive.
Your assignment is to continue with Unit 5 Lessons 1-3. If you are done then great. If not, you have a couple of days.

Good morning and welcome to computer science. We know this situation with the corona virus is serious, dangerous and unpredictable. Please be patient with me, the administration and with each other as we try to make the best of a difficult situation.
We are continuing with code.org and Unit 5. I’ve opened up Lesson 3. I expect you to have lessons 1-3 finished this week. Don’t just click and say “Finished” until you’ve really done the required work. I will check your progress Wednesday for Lessons 1 and 2 and on Friday for Lesson 3. These three lessons will be 10 summative points each for a total of 30 points.
Your “I’m Here!” assignment is to go to Lesson 3 part 1 and define Event-driven program . It is 5 summative points. Send me the definition in an e-mail (brownt@dearbornschools.org) by 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night. If you fail to meet this deadline, I am required to send your name to Mr. Martin so he can contact you.
